With a view to increasing foreign tourist arrivals, a horse racing competition was held at Nuwara Eliya (24.02.2024) by "Royal Tap" Club, a consultancy of Sri Lankan Sports Minister Hareen Penarnto.
The equestrian competition held at the Nuwara Eliya Equestrian Stadium consisted of four rounds of competition.
The first and second rounds of the competition were won by P. Vikraman, who participated in the competition on behalf of the horse race owners Asaranga and Prabha Jayarathna.
At the same time, in the third and fourth rounds of the horse racing competition, L. Ravikumar, and B. S Kaviraj won.
It is to be noted that the two contestants were competing on behalf of Mr. and Mrs. Edward's horse racing owner.
Also, shields were awarded to the winning players who participated in all four rounds of this horse race ball tournament held ahead of the upcoming April spring event in Nuwara Eliya.
The competition event was attended by foreign tourists as spectators and many dignitaries also attended.
