Lightning kills a football player


 At the Siliwangi Stadium in Bandung, West Java, Indonesia, during a friendly soccer play, Septan Raharja, a 35-year-old Subang resident, was struck by lightning. Despite being sent for treatment while still alive, he passed away.

According to an analysis by the nation's Meteorological Center, the stadium was struck by lightning at a height of 300 meters.

In Indonesian football matches, lightning strikes have happened to players before. Lightning struck a young player during a 2023 Under-13 Cup match in East Java.

He consequently had a heart attack and was sent to the hospital right once. After receiving treatment for 20 minutes, he was able to regain consciousness.
