Sri Lanka Kelani Railway to become a high-speed railway.

 There are plans to build a high-speed rail line along the Kalaniveli railway line, according to Prime Minister Dinesh Gunawardena.

He made this statement while present at an Avisawala event.

Dinesh Gunawardena, the prime minister, has also stated that the project will support the growth of tourism.
