Due to a technical issue, Sri Lankan Airlines has reported that flight UL 605 from Melbourne to Colombo has safely landed at Melbourne Airport.
In a statement, Sri Lankan Airlines announced that the flight that departed today at 18:16 Melbourne time had successfully landed.
The statement further stated that every passenger on the aircraft made a safe evacuation.
It stated that the technical team is now examining the aircraft and offering the required technical assistance.
According to Sri Lankan Airlines, hotel accommodations have been made for every passenger until the next flight out.
