Israel's Minister of Transportation and Road Safety, Brigadier General Miri Regev (Brig. Gen. Miri Regev), met with President Ranil Wickremesinghe of Sri Lanka at the President's Office.
According to the president of Sri Lanka, there needs to be an immediate end to the disputes in the Gaza Strip, and that his country will continue to assist in the rescue of the Israelis kidnapped by Hamas militants.
In addition, President Ranil Wickramasinghe of Sri Lanka stated that his country is in favor of the creation of a Palestinian state in order to guarantee Israel's security.
At the event were Saman Ekanayake, Secretary to the President and Director of International Affairs Dinuk Kolambake, as well as Sagala Ratnayake, President's Senior Advisor on National Security and Head of the Presidential Task Force.
