US aircraft to monitor Sri Lankan waters.


 In order to protect Sri Lanka's sovereignty, the US government will provide the island nation with a Beechcraft King Air aircraft for use in surveillance missions over its coastal seas.
This was declared by US Assistant Secretary for South and Central Asian Affairs Donald Lew during a speech on the Indo-Pacific Strategy at a US Peace Foundation event.

Donald Lew also emphasized the necessity for assistance from other nations, particularly the US, in preserving Sri Lanka's sovereignty.

Sri Lanka has seen a spectacular economic comeback in the interim.

Donald Lew, the US Assistant Secretary for South and Central Asian Affairs stated that Sri Lanka was able to get past this challenge with some assistance from other nations, notably the US.
