Two boats and twenty-one fishermen from the Rameswaram district were detained after they crossed the border and started fishing in Sri Lankan waters.
The Sri Lankan Navy made the arrest near the Nedundivu beachfront. The Water Resources Department will receive the fishermen who have been apprehended.
There are rumors that they will face legal action from the Water Resources Department in District Court.
