According to reports in foreign media, 287 pupils from a school in northwest Nigeria have been abducted by an armed gang. Additionally, it is stated that the students who were taken hostage ranged in age from 8 to 15.
The pupils were assembled in the playground before the start of classes when the armed men on a motorcycle carried out the kidnapping, a teacher informed the authorities.
Additionally, foreign media said that the gunman fired fire during the kidnapping and is presently receiving medical attention in a hospital. Additionally, it is said that the instructor who was with the pupils at the moment fled to protect himself.
