A fisherman from the 10th district of Uduthurai, Vadamaratsi East, Sri Lanka, caught a large shark in his net on February 25, 2024.
There has only been one fisherman from District 10, Uduthura, Sri Lanka (25.02.2024) who entered the marine profession with this kind of luck.
The fishermen said that the shark weighed 3700 kg in total, making it the heaviest shark to be taken in Vadamaratsi East in a long time.
Notable is also the fact that a sizable crowd assembled at the Uduthurai beach early on February 25, 2024, following news of the shark's capture.
