A boat accident claimed the lives of sixty refugees.

A refugee boat carrying refugees from Libya to Europe overturned in the Mediterranean Sea, killing at least sixty people.

While traveling to Italy or Malta, a boat overturned in the middle of the Mediterranean. The rescue ship "SOS Mediterrane" saved 25 individuals from the vessel.

Several ladies and a child were among the victims of the disaster, according to rescuers.

About 2,500 people are estimated to have drowned in the Mediterranean's most hazardous refugee route last year alone, according to the UN. The Refugee Welfare Commission claims.
