An Indian businessman gave 2.50 crores to the UAE to release 900 prisoners!

An Indian business entrepreneur from the United Arab Emirates made a goodwill gift to Ramzan. In order to release 900 inmates from UAE prisons, he gave the authorities 10 lakh dirhams or roughly Rs. 2.50 crore.

The owner of Bower Gold Jewellery is Firoz Merchant, a 66-year-old Indian businessman residing in the United Arab Emirates. Additionally, he is making a positive impact through 'The Bargaton Society,' a nonprofit. He has a good heart and aids numerous foreign convicts in being released and going back to their home countries.

That's how Firoz Merchant's pre-Ramadan goodwill gift of 10 lakh dirhams for the release of 900 prisoners came about. According to a statement from his office, this exemplifies the humility, humanity, forgiveness, and mercy of the holy month. "Pure Gold has donated around INR 2.25 crore towards the release of 900 prisoners in jails across the UAE," the company stated in a statement.

By the beginning of 2024, 900 convicts have already been released around the United Arab Emirates thanks in large part to the efforts of Firoz Merchant, the charity's director since 2008. Specifically, he played a key role in the release of 495 detainees from Ajman, 170 from Fujairah, 121 from Dubai, 69 from Umm al-Quwain, and 28 from Ras Al Khaimah.

Firoz Merchant has already been instrumental in the release of over 20,000 inmates of all faiths and nationalities to live with their families over the years by collaborating with the Director Generals of Police at Central Prisons around the United Arab Emirates.

In the past, Prose Merchant also supplied money for inmates to purchase plane tickets in order to settle their obligations and leave the nation of their birth. According to Firoz Merchant, the mission was started with the intention of giving them another opportunity to be with their families while keeping in mind the UAE's commitment to tolerance.

Additionally, he stated that by 2024, he wants to free over 3,000 convicts. Emirati authorities have acknowledged the Indian businessman's helpfulness, and his forgiveness, friendliness, and giving have inspired officials all around the Emirate.

"I am very fortunate to be associated with the UAE government officials in this matter," Firoz Merchant stated. Something that transcends national boundaries is humanity. According to him, our joint efforts aim to provide impoverished inmates with an opportunity to make amends with their families and reintegrate into their communities.
