Another foreign company has entered the country to make Sri Lanka's petroleum industry more competitive.


 To make the Sri Lankan petroleum industry more competitive, another foreign company has joined the country.

The "United Petroleum" corporation of Australia is reportedly preparing to launch fuel sales in Sri Lanka.

On February 22, 2024, the firm and the Ministry of Electricity and Energy inked an agreement in this regard.

The company will acquire 150 fuel filling stations that are currently in operation throughout the nation, and 50 more fuel filling stations are planned.

According to reports, "United Petroleum Lanka Limited" is a firm that has been registered to conduct petroleum supply activities in Sri Lanka.
