Arrests of Sri Lankans who are staying in Malaysia illegally.

A search of a Malaysian apartment complex resulted in the arrest of 150 persons who were residing there illegally. There are reportedly Sri Lankans among them.
Director of Perak Immigration's Immigration Education Department Meor Hezbollah Meor Abd Malik claimed that during a search operation at the Bercham house, where 358 immigrants were lodged, 158 individuals who were in Malaysia without a valid visa, permit, or overstaying period were taken into custody.

83 males, 54 women, 8 boys, and 3 girls make up the 158 persons who have been taken into custody. They are all from Bangladesh, China, Pakistan, Nepal, Burma, Sri Lanka, and Indonesia. Their ages range from 9 to 60.
