Ashwin, the captain of the Indian cricket team and a native of Tamil Nadu played his 100th international test in the fifth match of the Test series against England. both domestic and IPL Playing well in the series, he made his debut in international cricket under Dhoni's guidance, and in 2011 he made his Test match debut.
He seized the chance, putting on an incredible opening stand and becoming the second bowler from India to reach 500 wickets in Test cricket.

Being the first player from Tamil Nadu to play 100 Test matches for India, Ashwin has in that sense made Tamil Nadu proud.

In this instance, Ashwin received recognition for winning 100 Test matches and 500 Test wickets in Chennai on behalf of the Tamil Nadu Cricket Association.
