China military aid to Maldives.

The Maldives is displaying a tight relationship with China, continuing the hostile trend with India.

Mohamed Muisu, the president of the Maldives, recently traveled to China, where he signed over 20 accords. In this instance, China and the Maldives have inked a brand-new bilateral military deal. The agreements were exchanged by Major General Zhang Bagun, Deputy Director of the Chinese Government's International Military Cooperation Office, and Maldivian Defense Minister Ghazan Maumoon.

Through this pact, China has committed to giving the Maldives free military assistance. Notably, China's surveillance ship was recently based in the Maldives.
