Devon Conway, the opener for the Chennai Super Kings and New Zealand, will miss the first half of the IPL season because of a thumb injury.
Guy Conway had a thumb injury during the most recent home T20I series against Australia. Conway was named man of the match in the IPL 2023 final against Gujarat Titans in Ahmedabad last year.
The 32-year-old will have surgery this week and will not play in the current two-match Test series.
