Eight individuals were saved from militants in Myanmar.

According to Janaka Bandara, the ambassador of Sri Lanka to Myanmar, a group of Sri Lankans who were held in a cybercrime zone in the Myawaddy region of Myanmar have been freed.
On the morning of March 4, 2024, eight of the 56 Sri Lankans who were being held in the mentioned location were freed thanks to the intervention of the security forces in Myanmar.

According to reports, Myawadi Police is currently providing protection for the aforementioned group. Janaka Bandara, the ambassador of Sri Lanka to Myanmar, added that the required actions are being taken to save additional individuals.
