Five people lost their lives in a US aviation tragedy.

In Hot Springs, Virginia, USA, close to Ingalls Field Airport, a light aircraft crashed.

The five passengers on board, including a toddler, perished when the plane lost control while attempting to land on the runway, crashed into a forested area, and caught fire.

The collision occurred close to Virginia's western border. Officials from the Central Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board are looking into the incident.
