In 75 days, 6,744 persons in Kerala contracted the measles; 9 of them died!

Nine measles deaths have occurred in Kerala, India, in the last seventy-five days, according to the state's health department.
Kerala has seen an increase in temperatures since the start of the year. As a result, measles has been more common over the past few days. 6,744 people, including children, have been afflicted by this sickness in the last 75 days alone.

Nine more persons lost their lives. As per the state health department, 26,363 individuals were diagnosed with measles in the state last year alone, and four of them lost their lives to the disease. There is a greater likelihood of illness as the temperature rises.

One infected individual to another contract the disease. According to Dr. Rajeev Jayadevan, chief of research at the Indian Medical Association in Kerala, the virus is also airborne.
