Resigning was Tamilisai Soundararajan.

The governor of Telangana and Puduwai, Tamilisai Soundararajan, has written to the Indian president to tender his resignation.
After hearing rumors that Tamilisai might run in the legislative elections, he sent a resignation letter to the president.

Tamilisai Soundararajan ran in the Thoothukudi constituency against Kanimozhi in the most recent 2019 parliamentary elections. On September 1 of that year, Tamilisai Soundararajan—who had failed in this—was named Telangana's governor. Following that, Tamilisai Soundararajan was also assigned the additional duty of Puduwai Deputy Governor in February 2021.

In a letter to the President, Tamilisai Soundararajan stated that he would step down as governor as soon as the date of the parliamentary elections was announced.
