Russian presidential election.

On March 15, 2024, Russia's next president will be chosen in elections.

Voting is being held for the first time in Russian areas and in portions of seized Ukraine. There is calm voting in all 11 Russian time zones. In a similar vein, Russians residing overseas cast their ballots via email and by visiting embassies and consulates in their home nations. Early voting has started in other countries.

Vladimir Putin, the current president, is a candidate for reelection. In addition to him, the field also includes Vladislav Davankov of the New People's Party, Leonid Slutsky of the Nationalist Liberal Democratic Party, and Nikolai Kharidonov of the Communist Party. Putin is anticipated to win once more and take office for a fifth term as president.

There will be three days left to vote in the presidential election, ending the day after tomorrow, March 17. Every day from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., votes will be taken. Soon after tomorrow's last round of voting concludes, the votes will be tallied and the outcome declared. May will see the inauguration of the victorious candidate as president.
