The Indian High Commissioner was met by Minister Jeevan of Sri Lanka.


 Santosh Jha, the Indian High Commissioner to Sri Lanka, and Jeevan Thondaman, the General Secretary of the Sri Lanka Labor Congress and Minister for Water Supply and Plantation Infrastructure Development, met on the evening of February 29, 2024, in the Indian High Commission in Colombo.
The existing state of affairs and the development projects being carried out in the upland plantation areas with financial support from the Indian government were deliberated.

Minister Jeevan Thondaman conveyed his appreciation for India's development contributions towards the revival of the Highlands and for the scholarship programs that India offers to students studying in the Highlands.

Concurrently, there has been a conversation about the hill people's potential to strengthen ties between India and Sri Lanka. Special consideration has also been given to the housing project in Bharat-Lanka.
