There were 19 fatalities in an Indonesian mudslide.

According to the National Disaster Management Agency, severe rains, flash floods, and ensuing landslides have caused at least 19 fatalities and 7 unaccounted-for deaths in the Besisir Selatan district of western Sumatra Island, Indonesia.

Large boulders tumbled down and the tall trees on the mountain were uprooted and toppled as a result of this landslide. The riverbank settlements have suffered significant harm as a result of this. The Kodo XI Darusan region has sustained extensive damage. Fourteen homes are buried beneath the ground, and eighty thousand people are living in makeshift camps.

Twenty thousand people's homes have been fully submerged up to their roofs, and rescue crews are working to free those who are stranded because of power outages, floodwaters spilling over onto the roadways, debris, etc.
