Actor Vijay, who is starting to establish himself as a leading man, has decided to pursue politics and will only be appearing in one more film after this one. Dholl: Vijay refused to tell the story of the 2003 film Dharani Dholl saying that the film did not have a big scope. When Vikram's act became a hit, Vijay was angry that the story you told me was different, but the way it was shot was different, and after that, Vijay signed a contract with Gilli. Gilli which was released in 2004 was a hit for Thalapathy.
Muthalvan: The legendary director Shankar, Arjun, and Raghuvaran starred in the 1999 movie Muthalvan. When Shankar approached actor Vijay, he reportedly advised him about the consequences because there was too much politics.
Chandakozhi: Vishal stars in Lingusamy's 2005 film of the same name. After seeing the first part of the story, actor Vijay rejected it; nevertheless, after the movie came out, he called Lingusamy and gave him admiration.
Singam: Actor Vijay hasn't seen the Hari-directed Vel or the Suriya-starring Singam. For a variety of reasons, Vijay declined, so it went to Suriya, who released it in three parts and made a tremendous hit out of it.
